Create Your Own Heretic II Add-On

It is possible to make your own games using the Heretic II engine. These are known as add-ons, since you must already have a copy of Heretic II in order to play them. By creating new player and monster skins, and using your own models to replace various objects in the game, you can create a game with a very different look and feel to the original. The following sections outline how to customise various parts of Heretic II, without the need for writing scripts or compiling a new DLL.
